Peter McGuire was appointed to the violin section of the Minnesota Orchestra in 2003 and acting associate concertmaster in 2011.
Originally from Mankato, McGuire grew up playing violin at the Mankato Suzuki School, and performing with MAYSO and the Mankato Symphony Orchestra. Peter McGuire, an instructor in violin in the Gustavus Department of Music, joined the Minnesota Orchestra as a violinist in 2003 and was named acting first associate concertmaster in 2012.
